A. The Scope and Delivery of CP Model Large CNC Pipe Intersection Flame Cutting Machine:

1.       CP series CNC Pipe Cutting Machine originates from small diameter Φ600mm series over 2 decades ago;

2.       And, with time going and development in the field of Pipeline Production, more and more larger pipes approach for being processed in Large CNC Pipe Flame Cutting Machine:

1)       Workpiece diameter ranges from Φ2000mm to Φ3000mm;

2)       Pipe wall thickness increases correspondingly from 10smm up to 100mm;

3)       Workpiece length varies from several meters to 15m or longer;

4)       Pipe are usually made from materials of carbon steel;

3.       Correspondingly, considering the material and overall dimension of workpieces, flame cutting is more applied than plasma cutting in these Large CNC Pipe Cutting Machine;

B. Technical Characteristics of Flame Large CNC Pipe Cutting Machine:

1. Mechanical System of the Large CNC Pipe Flame Cutting Machine: (Fig.3)

1)       Cutting torch carriage: To have safe and convenient operation, cutting torch carriage is installed in the air in the elevating style, with max. height depending on max. diameter of workpiece. All the embedded functions of operating system and HMI (Human machine interface) are developed on the basis of pipe cutting and beveling technique and technology. Outsider on pipe cutting can command operation of the CNC Pipe Intersection Flame Cutting Machine without difficulty;

2)       Compatible with AutoCAD for Workpiece File into the Automatic CNC Pipe Cutting Machine: This means that, customer can make design on finished product of their workpiece with AutoCAD, and copy it into CNC of the CNC Pipe Cutting Machine directly, without the step of format conversion;

3)       Add the pipe testing unit, so the control system knows how much distance the workpiece rotates, how many angle the workpiece rotate, and compare these data with the control system. In this way, control system of the CNC Pipe Intersection Cutting Machine always knows the start point and the orientation of workpiece. Detection data needs to be exchanged and processed with the control system;

3. Supporting Tools for Running of the Large CNC Pipe Intersection Flame Cutting Machine: (Fig.7)

1)       Plasma piercing gun: Under the situation of thick wall pipe, a better practice to save time is to use plasma piercing gun to perforate hole before cutting (see the above photo). This can speed up operating process of the Large CNC Pipe Flame Cutting Machine to a large degree;

2)       Hoist tool for cut-off scrap in Large CNC Pipe Flame Intersection Cutting Machine: (Fig.8)

a)       The operation of cutting hole in the pipe will inevitably produce scrap material of round shape;

b)      Had better to remove it before unloading the pipe off the Large CNC Pipe Cutting Machine. A suggestion is to use magnetic sling to take off the scrap.
